Kia grew up in a horsey family. With a Mother who competed up to advanced medium in dressage and a Father who loved hunting and hacking and would jump whatever ‘got in the way’, Kia has almost 40 years of experience around horses to call upon including competing and producing homebreds.
From competing in Pony club teams in Eventing, hunting and showing as a child, Kia then focused on showjumping and this took her all the way to the Spanish Sunshine tour on her beloved Grade A Lizzy. Kia also had the opportunity to work at yards such as Stal Tops and Stal Bosteels and twice went to Arezzo in Italy and even went as far as Donesk in the Ukraine to work on the Dombass tour.
Having gained her AI (BHS Level 3 Coach complete) over a decade ago, Kia has focused on coaching since. Having been resident instructor at Military riding establishments Shrivenham and Larkhill, Kia is now resident at Priory Place Equestrian in Essex.
Kia is currently working towards her level 4 coach. She is able to train BHS stages and sign skills records.
